The Government Media and Information Center in the Gaza Strip announced this evening, Monday, that 4 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded from inside the Strip, which is the first cases recorded from within.

Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office in Gaza, explained during a press conference that the injuries were for one family, 3 males, and a woman from the Maghazi camp in the middle of the Strip.

He pointed out that it was decided to impose a comprehensive curfew and suspend full time in all facilities for a period of 48 hours, starting from tonight, noting that an exception is made for employees from government departments that are included in the previously announced emergency plan.

And he indicated that citizens will be prevented from leaving their homes for a period of 48 hours, while facilitating their tasks to reach their needs, calling on everyone to follow safety procedures.

He called on citizens who had mixed with the owner of the Nada supermarket in front of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, a week ago and up to now, to quarantine himself and inform the Ministry of Health via the toll-free number.

Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that the epidemiological map of the injured is being tracked and the source of the infection is known, indicating that they reported from the Mutlaa Hospital in Jerusalem that a woman from Gaza went for treatment there, and her family was examined and the injuries revealed.
