The Chinese probe, Mars Tianan-1, has taken a picture of Earth and the moon about 1.2 million km away from Earth, according to the China National Space Administration.
On July 23, China launched the first probe of Mars Tianan-1, which in Chinese means "questions to the sky", marking the country´s first step in exploring the planet in the solar system.
Tianon-1 took a picture of the Earth and Moon using an optical navigation sensor on Monday. In the black-and-white image, the Earth and the Moon, the Earth are large, and the Moon small, in the shape of a crescent, are watching each other in the vast universe.
According to the Chinese National Space Administration, the probe separated from Earth´s gravity and entered the transitional orbit of Earth and Mars, traveling more than 1.5 million km from Earth.
The administration stated that the probe is in good condition.
