Apple is planning to produce a number of new children´s series based on books and comics for Maurice Sindak, after concluding a deal with the Morris Sindak Foundation.
The new series, which promotes the legacy of the world-famous children´s story author, will be exclusively available to viewers of "Apple TV Plus" around the world, for around $ 4.99 per month.
Apple says it is the first streaming streaming service that makes such a deal with the organization to embrace the author´s beloved works.
Sendac was born in Brooklyn in 1928 to Jewish parents immigrated to the United States. The foundation says he is "an artist who has taught himself largely to himself", adding that he has authored and written over a hundred books throughout his career, including "Where the Wild Things Are" (1963) and "In the Night Kitchen" (1970).
The book "Where the Wild Things Are" has given Sindak a worldwide reputation, has been translated into more than 40 languages ​​and has sold more than 20 million copies to date. It has already been converted into a movie several times and the most recent one was directed by Spike Jones in 2009
Apple, which is looking to expand its original businesses for children and families, has also entered into agreements with a number of chains, such as "Sesame Workshop" and "Bennetts", the most recent of which is with "Jim Henson" for the "Frijel Rock" program.
