Settlers ´ bulldozers have continued to bulldoze hundreds of dunums of land in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, amid warnings of the seizure of those lands in favour of settlement expansion.
"Two settler bulldozers who have been on the ground since this morning have razed some 500 dunums of land in the western part of the village of Umm Safa, and protected by the Israeli occupation forces," said Marwan Sabah, a village council chairman.
Sabah explained that the land was located along the settlements of "Ateret " and "Neve Tsov ", where settlers exploited the current conditions of settler attacks, to seize them, to annex them to the settlements, and then to link the settlers to the settlement "Helesh " in a settlement plan that the settler has been trying to implement since Period, where they had in the past made several attempts to control the land, and had built a settlement road in the same area.
Village council chairman Um SAFA confirmed that the residents and the Council were not informed of the decision of the sources of the land, but that the dredging took place today, was protected by the occupation forces, and noted that the Council went to the authority to resist the wall and settlement to follow up the case.
