The Russian Defense Ministry said Sunday it had no reliable information about the US military operation in the de-escalation zone in Idlib against ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
The Russian defense in a statement, that the United States must provide direct evidence of the establishment of the leader of the "Daesh" terrorist Baghdadi in the region, which is under the control of the Nusra militants.
The statement added that the new announcement of the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has no practical significance whatsoever on the situation in Syria or on the actions of the remaining terrorists in Idlib.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in the statement that in recent days no air strikes from the United States or the international coalition will be recorded in the governor of Idlib in northern Syria.
In announcing the killing of al-Baghdadi in Syrian Idlib, President Trump said that Russia had opened Syrian airspace in its areas of influence to US airborne forces to launch the targeting of al-Baghdadi, but did not know the nature of the US mission.
