"School Bag Project." From Palestinians in America to Children of the West Bank

 For the second year in a row, Palestinian-American businessman Mazen Khalil, from the village of Ein Yabroud, east of Ramallah, is striving to provide school bags including stationery for needy students in different parts of the West Bank.

Mazen Khalil´s “School Bag Project”, being a social activist, provides, through the help of many activists in the West Bank, with a donation from the Palestinian community in America, a school bag and the stationery needed by the student. The lower class, in which families are unable to buy bags and stationery for their children, especially in remote villages and Bedouin communities near the apartheid wall.

About two weeks ago, Mazen managed to save about $ 25,000 with a donation from the Palestinian community in America. Providing more donations to expand the school bag project.

Before coming to Palestine, where he comes to the West Bank on a special visit to implement the "school bag project" through a network of activists and through the local and village councils and institutions, who in turn provide lists of students in need, first buy bags and accessories obtained at wholesale prices and below prices. Some stationery stores even donate little supplies.
