Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that "Italy will work with diligence" for the peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.
"He has a special interest in the peace process, he will visit the region and meet with leaders on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides," he said at a press conference at the Foreign Press Association headquarters in the Italian capital of Rome on Monday.
He added that the parties forming the current Italian government have a great interest in the peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, and that "The Italian government will work hard and carefully" for the sake of peace.
