The Israeli Defense Forces (IOF) on Thursday ordered the residents of the Wadi al-Homs neighborhood to leave the village until July 18 to carry out the demolition of their homes.

The committee added that the army gave the population today until the 18th of next month, to implement the demolition orders manually or the army to demolish them after this date. She explained that the occupation army began to pursue the population about 3 years ago, the demolition orders on the pretext of "proximity to the security fence," which is a street surrounded by barbed wire and electronic sensors. She pointed out that the occupation prevails the construction of 250 meters from the wall for reasons and security reasons, which means that the risk of demolition threats about 1500 acres of the area of ​​Wadi Homs, about half the neighborhood. The Committee noted that most of the buildings that were approved for demolition were located in Area A , with building permits from the Ministry of Local Government. On Sunday, Israeli occupation forces prevented the residents of Wad al-Homs from setting up a tent on their land to protest against the Israeli High Court´s decision to demolish 16 buildings in the neighborhood and threatened that if the tent remained legal. Prior to building their homes, the affected families went to the Palestinian Ministry of Local Government in Bethlehem to obtain permits. After obtaining the necessary permits, they started to build their homes and now they are at risk of being displaced.
