Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday evening that he was preparing for a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip to maintain calm.
Netanyahu added during a press conference in Ukraine: I´m preparing for a big fight and I can´t figure out what we´re doing and what preparations we´ve made, but part of the people who criticize us know that things that haven´t been done before are done."
He added: "" We are ready for this operation and the ultimate goal is to maintain calm and security from the Gaza front, but to say there is no deterrence in front of Gaza? This is nonsense," he said, according to Israel´s Channel 12.
"We are ready for a large-scale battle, and if it happens and it may happen, it will be a deadly military strike," Netanyahu said.
