more than 150 settlers, including Uri Ariel, Minister of Agriculture of the Israeli Government, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Sunday morning.

"More than 150 extremists have broken into the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque so far, and the Israeli Minister of Agriculture, Uri Ariel, has been with an intruder," said Firas al-Debs, a media official with the Islamic Endowments Department in a brief statement.

The settlers stormed the mosque in the form of groups guarded by the Israeli police, al-Debs said.

In another context, Al-Debs noted that the Israeli special forces arrested the construction officer of the Jerusalem Waqf, Raed Ghabir Abu al-Thaer, during his work in the Al-Aqsa courtyards.
