Eight people were killed and several others wounded in a shooting near a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US media reported on Saturday.
According to the CBS Pittsburgh Channel, the shooting left at least eight dead and the number is a candidate for the increase.
Preliminary information speaks of the presence of a number of casualties, including two police officers.
Earlier, police in Pittsburgh announced that they were dealing with a shooting incident at the "Tree of Life " Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh.
She called on all to refrain from entering the area, adding that she would publish further details at a later date.
