Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman said on Tuesday he would strongly oppose the formation of a committee in Israel´s parliament to discuss granting immunity to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after indictments against him.
Lieberman said in an interview with Radio Can Hebrew, that the option currently is to hold elections without any tricks, stressing that it can not form a committee to deal with a personal issue for one person.
On the possibility of shortening the election campaign and hastening the holding of elections, Lieberman said that there is no reason not to shorten it, and that the decision will be in the hands of the Election Commission.
