Human rights organizations and national figures on Sunday called for the Israeli occupation to be held accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, especially the swarka family.
The statement reads:
The number of signatories to the petition calling for the accountability of the Israeli military occupation forces for serious violations and war crimes, especially the murder of the Swarka family, reached more than (2000) signatures from institutions, national figures and representatives of civil society organizations and media and human rights figures community and youth.
The text of the signed document:
The signatories of this petition call on the Palestinian presidency and foreign ministry to play a crucial role in ensuring that the Israeli military occupation forces are held accountable for serious violations and war crimes, especially the murder of the Swarka family.
The signatories of this petition followed with deep disapproval and sadness the war crime committed by the Israeli occupation forces, which killed 08 civilians from the same family, after Israeli warplanes fired four missiles at two tin houses in al-Baraka area of Deir al-Balah. On top of the heads of its inhabitants, which led to the killing of nine citizens of the same family, including two women and five children, namely: the child Firas Official Salem Al-Swarka (2 years) and the child Salem Official Salem Salem Al-Swarka (03 years) child Moaz Mohammed Salem Al-Swarka (07 years), and the child Muhannad Salem Official Al-Swarka (12 years) and the child Wasim Mohammed Salem Al-Swarka (age 13), Ms. Maryam Salem Nasser Al-Swarka (45), Ms. Yousra Mohammed Odeh Al-Swarka (age 39) and Mr. Official Salem Odeh Al-Swarka (45) and 13 others, including 11 children.
Following the crime, the Israeli army admitted and admitted that it had targeted Mr. Rasmi Al-Swarka by claiming that he was the official of the rocket unit in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of The Islamic Jihad in the central Gaza Strip, and then returned on the second day and claimed that he had accidentally killed the family, under the weight of a case international disdain for this heinous crime.
The obvious fact is that the Israeli occupying forces cannot justify the physical harm of Palestinian children and their statements directly, deliberately and deliberately, under any prayer, especially since the Israeli occupation forces have a technologically advanced military arsenal capable of accurately distinguishing between civilians. fighters, civilian sins and military targets.
The signatories (persons and organizations) still have high doubts about the state of official Palestinian inaction to ensure that Israeli crimes are exposed and that the Israeli occupation forces are held accountable to international justice, while condemning the official Palestinian failure to carry out the moral and legal duty. To protect civilians and employ all legal tools to hold the occupation to account, they urge and demand that the Palestinian presidency represented by President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Foreign Ministry immediately initiate meaningful measures that guarantee the rights of Palestinian victims and their families, and work on the following:
1. Adopt and announce a clearly defined Palestinian strategy based on the internationalization of the conflict and the activation of accountability mechanisms for the leaders of the occupation by working with and adjacent to the Prosecutor of the Permanent International Criminal Court, to urge them to take a fair and speedy decision to open a criminal investigation into Israeli crimes committed in The Palestinian situation.
2. Work on legal files for Israeli crimes, including those of members of the Swarka family, in order to seek referral to the Permanent International Criminal Court under Article 14 of the Rome Charter, which will ensure that Israeli criminals do not escape punishment.
3. Develop the work of the Supreme National Committee responsible for follow-up with the International Criminal Court, formed by a presidential decree of 07 February 2015, to make its tasks more realistic and in contact with the Palestinian situation, and to provide them with Palestinian competencies in the field of international law, and to ensure that they play their role in the referral of The crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners, colonial settlements, aggression against the Gaza Strip and The Israeli crimes against peaceful demonstrators in the marches of return and the breaking of the siege to the International Criminal Court.
4. Increasing and improving the degrees of intervention of the Palestinian National Authority in the context of the employment of international law and its various instruments, and emphasizing that the international human rights and legal process is not subject in any way to any political gains, especially the course of negotiations.
Finally, the disruption or delay of the work of the principle of international accountability and accountability, and the failure of the Palestinian leadership to use accountability mechanisms for occupation, in short, to encourage the Israeli occupying forces to commit more serious crimes and violations described in the Statute of the Court, The four Geneva Conventions, particularly the Fourth Convention of 1949 and the First Additional Protocol of 1977.
