Including 739 children... The Prisoner´s Club: 6,000 arrests since the beginning of the year

The Prisoner Club said, on Tuesday, that about 6000 arrests have been recorded since the beginning of this year by the Israeli occupation forces, including 141 women and 739 children, and the occupation issued 1,829 administrative detention orders, and the highest cases were recorded. Arrest in Jerusalem, amounting to about 2,700 cases.

 

In a statement, the club confirmed that this year is the most severe abuse of detainees and their families compared to the past few years, especially with the continued implementation of field executions, and an increase in the number of wounded detainees, whether those who were arrested immediately after being shot, or those who were arrested after periods of their injury.

 

He pointed out that the number of wounded in prisons has increased, which has led to an increase in the number of difficult cases that require close health follow-up, and a number of them are still facing real risks to their lives.

 

The Prisoner Club indicated that these data were accompanied by a high intensity of violations that extended from the moment of arrest, and later inside the interrogation and detention centers, and after the detainees were transferred to prisons.

 

The club reiterated that administrative detention operations, in terms of the current data, are the most dangerous compared to the past few years, and the highest percentage of administrative detention orders was during the month of August 2022, reaching 272 orders, as the number of administrative detention in occupation prisons reached the end of October for more than 820.
