Hebrew newspaper: Netanyahu is out for war in defense of himself

 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with ministers and members of Knesset at his home in Jerusalem following the decision of Attorney General Avihay Mandelblit, the Hebrew daily Yisrael Hume reported on Sunday.

According to the newspaper, Netanyahu held the meeting with the aim of formulating a strategy to continue the campaign, which will focus on the indictments, amid a state of alert.

Gilad Arad, Nir Barakat, Ophir Akunis, Amir Ohana and David Betan, as well as the Likud campaign team, participated in the meeting, while Gideon Sa´ar was absent.

The newspaper said that a number of participants in the meeting said after the end that the atmosphere was good and they are "out to war."

According to the same sources, the meeting dealt with the legal issues on the agenda and the messages that were passed on to the Knesset members to speak to the media, as well as the issue of Yair Lapid and Tzipi Livni meetings with the owner of the Yedioth newspaper and an attempt to exclude Israel Hume.

The second part of the meeting focused on political issues and the classification of Beni Gantz as a left-wing party.

A source familiar with the meeting said Netanyahu seemed confident in the matter of the Chancellor´s decision.

"The 2019 elections will resolve the main question: Bibi or Tibi," Minister Akunis said after the meeting.Saying that recent opinion polls indicating that 61 seats in the Knesset and a left-leaning bloc headed by Gantz and Lapid will be supported only by Arab parties. This is clear evidence that, contrary to the lies published by the "Blue White" party, they have no government without Ayman Odeh and Ahmed Tibi And their companions, he said.

"They are ready to see the members of the Arab parties in the government and the coalition in favor of Gantz, Lapid and Ya´alon. This is a close battle that will decide the fate of Israel for generations."
