Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri said Monday that he has handed over "the formula of a national unity government" to President Michel Aoun, "No one wins the other."
"The formula is no one owned by the President (Aoun) and I, not discussed with anyone, and her thoughts were taken from all powers," Hariri told reporters after meeting with Aoun at the Baabda Palace in eastern Beirut.
"We will continue consultations, there are still names, and I am always optimistic when I visit the President of the Republic," he stressed.
The formula is intended to mean that the government configuration, provided by Hariri, included quotas for ministerial portfolios on political parties, without names.
On May last May, Aoun, from Saad Hariri, the leader of the Future Movement (Sunni), called for the formation of the new government after the parliamentary elections.
However, the formation of the government has been considerably delayed amid recriminations between political forces over responsibility for delay.
