Statistics issued by the General Administration of Civil Status at the Ministry of Interior - the civil part, showed that last July, the Gaza Strip witnessed the registration of 4,012 births, in addition to 283 deaths.
The statistics distributed by the ministry showed that the number of registered male births in the sector during the past month was estimated at 2,130, at an estimated rate of 53%, while the estimated percentage of female births was 46.9%, at 1,882 births.
She pointed out that the civil status offices of the Gaza Interior Directorate recorded 1,430 births, while the Khan Yunis Interior Office recorded 795 births, the northern interior offices during the same period, 695 births, and the civil status offices of the Central Interior 561, while the Rafah Interior Directorate recorded 531 births.
Regarding the death statistics, the Civil Status Department reported that its offices recorded 283 deaths, as the deaths of males were estimated at 168 deaths, at an estimated rate of 59.3%, compared to 115 deaths of females, at an estimated rate of 40.6%.
