The organizers of the convoy said in a press statement today, Monday: "The cars entered through the Rafah crossing, and they were handed over to the Ministry of Health, for distribution to various hospitals in the sector."
He pointed out that this aid comes within a generous donation of mainly male and female beneficiaries from Jordan.
The statement said: "The distinguished charitable giving, which comes with the blessing of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and the Jordanian government, in addition to the generous Jordanian people, through the continuous support of the Palestinian people, is one of the great and honorable Jordanian stances and principles."
He added: "This can be demonstrated by examples that can be seen easily today, such as the delegations of Jordanian field hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and the activities of charitable and humanitarian institutions that allocate the largest amount of their support to the Palestinians, such as the Hashemite Jordanian Charitable Commission and the Jordanian Islamic Advocacy Committee for the Palestinian People, as a matter of example. The convoys expressed their deep thanks for the Jordanian role in support of the Palestinian people, in various political, economic, humanitarian and social fields, and other areas.
She also thanked all donors, who worked for the success of convoys of miles of smiles to Gaza, stressing the need to work urgently to secure basic materials for hospitals in Gaza, which are suffering from an acute shortage of urgent medical supplies.
The convoys called for the need to continue relief work to support the people in Gaza, while the humanitarian situation is witnessing further deterioration, as a result of the tightening of the Israeli blockade.
It also called on the international community, decision-makers, and all international bodies, to pressure the occupation to force it to lift its continuous blockade of the Gaza Strip for more than (13 years).
