French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has suspended the lifting of fuel prices for six months following a wave of bloody protests in protest against the measure.
In a speech at the French government headquarters in Paris, Philip said the government also decided not to increase electricity and gas prices during the winter season.
"I suspend for six months the application of these tax measures," he added.
Philip´s pacification procedures came after a wave of protests, which began on November 17, and led by a movement calling itself the name "Yellow Jackets."
The movement of "Yellow Jackets " Focused on denouncing the high cost of living due to the tax imposed by the Makan government on fuel, which it said was necessary to combat climate change and protect the environment.
