The secretary general of the PLO´s executive committee, Saeb Erekat, on Friday accused the US administration of imposing dictatorial policies on the Palestinians in resolving the conflict with Israel.
Erekat said in a statement after a meeting with a US delegation concluding academic, political and cultural figures in Ramallah that the launch of the status of the transaction instead of the treaty clearly indicates the intent of dictations and not agreement through negotiations.

He stressed that the search for solutions outside the framework of international law and United Nations resolutions in a manner that ensures the end of the Israeli occupation and the embodiment of the independence of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital to live in peace and security alongside the State of Israel on the borders of June 4, 1967, Based on the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, "is nothing more than chasing the mirage and living in illusions."
Erekat said that all decisions of the US administration on Jerusalem, refugees, settlements, borders and annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, and other resolutions "null and void, and flagrant violations of international law and international legitimacy.
Palestinians have suspended political contacts with the US administration since its decision in December 2017 to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
