Dozens of people with disabilities protested in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, calling on the United Nations to provide international protection to the Palestinian people.
Children participated in the demonstration in the Jabalia refugee camp at the invitation of the coalition of activists to adopt disability issues, consisting of community organizations, on wheelchairs and on auxiliary crutches.
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with disabilities, which falls on the next Monday, the participants lifted Palestinian flags and banners written in Arabic and English (no obstruction of Will), and (my disability is the secret of my Power).
Mustafa Abed, a leader of the coalition of activists to adopt disability issues, said the message of the demonstration is that international intervention is needed to stop the "violations" of Israel against Palestinian children and youths in the Gaza Strip.

"Today we pretend to call on the United Nations for the rights of persons with disabilities and to provide international protection to them and to all the Palestinian people," said Reda Ahmed, 14.
"We want our rights to work, to empower our education and health needs, to provide places for people with disabilities and to provide for their needs," Abu al-Khair said.
In 1992, the United Nations was dedicated to a world day for people with special needs, with the aim of increasing understanding of disability issues and supporting universal-friendly designs to ensure the rights of people with special needs.
This year´s event was devoted to advocating for the empowerment of persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality.
