The owners of the destroyed houses in the last Israeli war in 2014 decided to return to UNRWA schools in Gaza after they stopped paying the rent allowance.

The local newspaper Al-Ayam quoted the owners of the destroyed houses as saying that they and their children would return to school due to the non-payment of "UNRWA " rent allowance several months ago and announced that they decided to do so definitively.

 

Some 1612 families whose homes were demolished in 2014 are still homeless and are no longer building their homes and have been living in rented homes for the past four years, while "UNRWA" has been paying rent but it has ceased for several months, exacerbating their suffering and situation. to difficult.

Mohammed al-Gharbawi, 47, one of the heads of these families, said that they had been homeless because the "UNRWA" stopped for the fifth consecutive month of paying their rent allowance, causing their displacement and their families.

He described the situation of "These displaced persons" by the disaster as they could not afford to pay the rent and the majority of them were forced to leave the rented houses after the decision of "UNRWA" to stop the payment altogether, and charged the international agency with full responsibility for this decision and its consequences. According to the paper.

In his name and on behalf of those affected, he appealed to the national and Islamic forces, the Liberation Organization and the national authority to work to solve the problem and avert disaster, especially as the students in the schools  "UNRWA " at the doors of the final exams.
