The Chinese foreign ministry said Thursday that Beijing does not interfere in the affairs of other countries, after US president Donald Trump accused her of trying to intervene in the congressional elections scheduled for November 6.
"The international community clearly knows who is the most intrusive state, and urges the United States to desist from actions that are detrimental to the relations between the two countries," ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said in a stern press statement.
Trump said Wednesday at the United Nations General Assembly that China intervened because it did not want his Republican party to do well in the elections due to his party´s stance on trade.
Military, the Chinese Defense Ministry said that Beijing is completely opposed to the provocative actions of US military aircraft in the South China Sea, and called on the United States to take steps to improve military relations.
