Slovak police have arrested eight suspects in connection with the assassination of a Slovak journalist who was investigating political corruption when he was killed seven months ago.
The eight suspects were arrested during a police raid, the news portal quoted police sources as saying.
"Denik-in" said that among those arrested was the suspected murderer and the alleged accomplices of the crime.
The Slovak police confirmed via Facebook that several people had been arrested during an operation linked to a violent crime, but no further information was provided.
Jean Kosak, 27, and his girlfriend were shot dead in March at his home in Bratislava, the capital, while the journalist was preparing a report on links between the Slovak Government and the Italian mafia.
Their killings sparked large protests and a large-scale political scandal that led to the fall of the government because of its handling of the issue.
