Center: 8 prisoners who have given birth to 9 children through smuggled sperm this year

The Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies said today, Wednesday, that the number of "freedom ambassadors" increased during the year 2020 to 95 children, after 8 of the prisoners were able to give birth to 9 new children during the year, including twins.

Riyadh Al-Ashqar, director of the center, explained that the prisoners continued their challenge to the occupation during the year 2020, their challenge to the occupation through the smuggling of sperm abroad and the birth of children behind bars, which are called "ambassadors of freedom," which raised the number of prisoners who went through the experiment to (67) prisoners.

Al-Ashqar explained that the issue of childbearing behind bars through the smuggling of sperm remained a hope and dream that haunts the prisoners for many years, especially the old and those with high sentences, as their lives expire in prisons, until the prisoner Ammar Al-Zabin decided to go into adventure, and gave birth to the first child through sperm in August of the year 2012, which opened the door for dozens of prisoners to follow suit.

He added, "The occupation has so far failed to discover all the ways of smuggling sperm from inside the prison, although it knew some methods, but the prisoners are creative in finding alternatives to continue their struggle with the occupier who is trying to kill the spirit of hope and life in them."

Al-Ashqar indicated that the prisoners who gave birth through Nutf during the year are the prisoner Walid Nimer Daqqa, from the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948, who has been detained since 1986, and had a baby girl named "Milad" 34 years after his arrest, and the captive Baha Ali Al-Hroub 35 years from Hebron, he had a girl named "Hor al-Ayn", 10 years after his arrest, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. He is married and has a daughter before his arrest, and the captive Wael Kamel Abu Jalboush, 40 years old, from Jenin, had a child called "Omar". After 6 years of his re-arrest, as he was released in the Wafa Al-Ahrar deal in 2011, he was re-arrested in 2014 and was issued the same previous sentence of life imprisonment.

In addition to them are the prisoner Muhammad Adel Zaitawi, a resident of Tulkarm, who is detained in 2006, and was sentenced to 25 years in prison, and he had two male twins (Tim and Dean), and the captive Ahmed Khaled al-Jayyousi (43 years) from Tulkarm, has been detained since 2002, and was sentenced to life imprisonment 35 times. And he had a male child, whom he called (Awais).

In addition to them are the prisoner Imad Ata Musa from Jenin, who is one of the editors of the Wafaa Al-Ahrar deal, and the occupation re-arrested him in 2014, and restored his previous rule to him for 25 years, and he had a child through smuggled sperm, and he was called (Haifa), while the captive Rabei Abu Al-Layl was 37 years old. From Nablus, he has been detained since 2007, and sentenced to 14 years in prison. He had a baby boy named (Layla), 13 years after his arrest.

The prisoner, Amjad Mustafa Al-Najjar, 37 years old, from Silwad, north of Ramallah, has been in detention since 2015, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment. His wife gave birth to a male child called "Akram" after the prisoner managed to smuggle sperm from inside the prison.

The prisoners consider the continuing operations of smuggling sperm and childbearing from inside the prison’s darkness despite the procedures and penalties against them constitutes a moral victory and expresses a steel will they enjoy and a hope for life that is not interrupted or retracted, and overrides all bars and borders despite the hardship and oppressive conditions of the prisoner and the long years that have passed of their lives deprived of their freedom . As Ashkar said.
