Israeli police forces arrested five Palestinians and wounded four others, coinciding with the storming of dozens of Jewish settlers, on Tuesday morning, to the Al-Aqsa mosque courtyards, celebrating a distant "forgiveness" of the Jewish.
A case of extreme tension prevailed in the al-Aqsa mosque amid the Israeli occupation police allowing scores of settlers to break into the al-Aqsa in the form of successive and intensive groups, according to the correspondent of the Palestine News Network.
Palestinian citizens, who had been able to be present at the Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers, had tried to counter settler incursions and to protect them by the special forces, who had enlarged and later settlers.
It confirmed the opposition of dozens of al-Aqsa guards to settler violations and public prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It noted that the Israeli police and its special forces began to severely beat the guards and staff of the Waqf and who are in the squares, resulting in the recording of injuries that were transferred to medical clinics.
She explained that the Israeli occupation police arrested Haitham Halawani, Mahmoud Mons, Raed Ghabir, Salman Abu Sabih, Ghaith Ghaith, after being assaulted, and took them to an interrogation center in the Old City.
The Waqf reported that 279 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during a four-hour round of morning raids.
The department´s information officer, Firas al-Debs, said that the Israeli occupation police assaulted all those at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in conjunction with the storming of the settlers and their festivals inside the mosque in the context of their celebration of their Jewish holidays.
He added that the attack resulted in the wounding of four mustafin from the Waqf, who were taken to al-Maqat charitable hospital in the town of al-Tur east of Jerusalem for treatment.
Outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, various groups of settlers prayed at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and blew up the trumpet to celebrate the Jewish "forgiveness".
