Arrangements for the operation of vessels to break the siege on Gaza

Issam Yusuf, chairman of the World People´s Organization for the support of Gaza, revealed on Saturday that arrangements are being made in coordination with various European countries to conduct ships towards the Gaza Strip in order to break the naval blockade.

Yusuf, who is visiting Gaza in his capacity as head of caravan miles of smiles, said there are measures being implemented by the Freedom Flotilla Union to set up a new mechanism that will be announced and disclosed in the coming period, noting that the mechanism may be implemented in July next July.

He said in a press statement that there are arrangements with the Egyptian side for coordination to introduce medical delegations to the sector, and they have been presented with statements to allow a number of doctors in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza from Jordan and Egypt to enter the sector in the presence of thousands of injuries that need active follow-up in Different characteristics and disability situation of Gaza hospitals.

He also said there were discussions with Egypt to introduce drugs into the strip, allow some of the wounded to be transported abroad, or access medical delegations to the sector.

He indicated that there was an estimated Egyptian cooperation to allow it to cross, and that the delegations needed by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip were being arranged on a medical level.

"We look positively at the Egyptian deal, especially as we are witnessing a commercial movement such as supplying gasoline and gas to the sector," Yusuf said.

He noted that the sector is living in its worst economic and social conditions, especially after the sanctions imposed by the Palestinian Authority, stating that the sector hospitals are in a state of real collapse due to severe shortages of fuel and other medical supplies.

He stressed that the humanitarian situation is unlikely to be further developed, at least the return of electricity and fuel naturally as the West Bank, as well as the provision of lost medicines and medical supplies.
