Italy is the country with the worst daily death toll from the emerging corona virus in the world, after registering nearly a thousand deaths within 24 hours, according to news agency "Agence France Presse".
And on Friday evening, the Italian authorities announced that 969 cases had been registered, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,134.
Nevertheless, the frequency of infection continues to decline, with the proportion of new cases registered growing by 7.4 percent, the lowest since the start of the epidemic in the country more than a month ago.
