The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced today, Friday, 7 deaths, 2,494 new infections with the “Corona” virus, and 889 cases of recovery during the past 24 hours.
In the daily report on the epidemiological situation in Palestine, Al-Kaila said that the new deaths were recorded as follows: Hebron (1), Salfit (1), Tulkarm (2), and the Gaza Strip (3).
She added that the new injuries were recorded as follows: Qalqilya (99), Tulkarm (219), Salfit (93), Nablus (321), Tubas (18), Jenin (140), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (119), Jericho and the Jordan Valley (4 ), the outskirts of Jerusalem (11), Hebron (48), Bethlehem (2), the Gaza Strip (1420), noting that 12,827 tests were conducted.
It confirmed that the new recovery cases were distributed as follows: Qalqilya (39), Tulkarm (130), Salfit (11), Nablus (129), Tubas (15), Jenin (61), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (58), Jericho and the Jordan Valley (1 Jerusalem Suburbs (6), Hebron (30), Bethlehem (59), Gaza Strip (404).
Al-Kaila stated that the recovery rate from the “Corona” virus in Palestine reached 92.2%, while the percentage of active infections was 6.8%, and the death rate was 1.0% of the total infections.
She pointed out that there are 54 injured people in intensive care rooms, while 147 people are being treated in Corona centers and departments in West Bank hospitals, including 10 on ventilators.
As for the citizens who received antiviral vaccines, their total number in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 1,086,136, of whom 466,316 received both doses of the vaccine.
