27 Israelis arrested during anti-Netanyahu demonstrations

Israeli police arrested, last night, 27 people who participated in the demonstrations that took place for the 24th week against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the Arabic-language Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation, thousands took part in the demonstrations outside Netanyahu´s official residence in Jerusalem.

One of the demonstrators complained that a policeman had dropped him on the ground, causing him to bleed from his nose.

Micky Haimovich of the Blue and White party who took part in the protest said the police arrests were extremely violent.

While the police said that they were forced to evacuate the demonstrators by force, after they tried to block axes and sat on the roads at major intersections.

An 80-year-old Israeli was killed at the Savion Junction near Kiryat Ono while participating in the demonstrations against Netanyahu, when he crossed the road and was hit by a car.

The police arrested her driver, and it became clear that what happened was a traffic accident and not a deliberate operation, which was confirmed by the Black Banners Movement, which organizes the demonstrations.
