Today, Friday, the Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, announced that 16 deaths, 2,248 new cases of Coronavirus and 1,709 recoveries had been recorded during the last 24 hours.
In the epidemiological report on the virus in Palestine, Al-Kaila indicated that 14 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Tulkarm 2, Hebron 2, Nablus 4, Jenin 3, Qalqilya 2, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1, and two deaths in the Gaza Strip.
It indicated that the new injuries were recorded as follows: Tulkarm 125, Salfit 33, Hebron 271, Nablus 232, Jenin 160, Qalqilya 34, Bethlehem 56, Tubas 31, Jericho and Al Aghwar 13, Jerusalem suburbs 14, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 94, and the Gaza Strip 1185 .
Minister Al-Kaila added that the new recovery cases were divided according to the following: Tulkarm 143, Salfit 44, Hebron 370, Nablus 286, Jenin 261, Qalqilya 77, Bethlehem 106, Tubas 30, Jericho and Al Aghwar 11, Jerusalem suburbs 44, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 103, and the Gaza Strip Gaza 234.
She pointed out that there are 204 patients in intensive care rooms, including 63 patients on artificial respirators, while 688 patients are being treated in "Corona" centers and departments in hospitals in the West Bank.
She indicated that the rate of recovery from the Corona virus in Palestine reached 89.5%, while the rate of active infections reached 9.4%, and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
With regard to the citizens who received the anti-Coronavirus vaccinations, the Minister of Health indicated that their total number in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 89,933 citizens, of whom 10,146 received the two doses of the vaccine.
