At least 12 citizens were martyred, and dozens of others were injured, in an Israeli occupation artillery shelling, Monday afternoon, on a UNRWA school that houses hundreds of displaced people.

Local sources said that occupation artillery targeted an UNRWA school in the “Block 12” area of the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, housing displaced people from the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in at least 12 martyrs and dozens being injured.

The sources added that about two thousand displaced people were sheltering in this school, with hundreds of them arriving in batches over the past few days.

In non-final statistics, the Ministry of Health announced that the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip had risen to more than 12,200 martyrs, including about 5,000 children, 3,250 women, and 690 elderly people, while the number of injured reached more than 29,500, and more than 4,000 citizens are still in Missing, including 2,000 children.
