The Hebrew TV channel, which was scheduled for Friday, unveiled details of what the Israeli mini-cabinet will discuss with the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.
The plan, presented by Nikolai Meladonov, the UN envoy for the Middle East peace process and Egypt, on the truce with Hamas, will be discussed Sunday, the channel said.
According to the channel, some ministers believed that Israeli security Minister Avigdor Lieberman was trying to link the issue of family soldiers with the rehabilitation of Gaza, but the ministers felt there was no need to link the two issues with each other.
A senior Israeli official was quoted by the channel as saying that many ministers and security authorities believe that a long-term agreement cannot be reached without resolving the issue of the soldiers.
"Anyone who does not want to rehabilitate Gaza uses the issue of missing soldiers as a tool to thwart any progress," said a minister in the Kabonette channel.
The channel spoke to Lieberman´s remarks, in which he said on Thursday that Gaza could not be rehabilitated without the soldiers ´ return.
