Israeli occupation authorities arrested Ahmed Emad Ashour Odeh at the Beit Hanoun / Erez crossing point while he was leaving the Gaza Strip for Karama crossing to travel to Jordan.
This brings the number of citizens from Gaza who have been arrested at the Beit Hanoun / Erez crossing since the beginning of this year to 13 citizens, in addition to the detention of dozens of travelers to and from the Gaza Strip for long hours and interrogation sometimes before allowing them to pass.
The Israeli occupation authorities use the aforementioned crossing as a trap to arrest citizens and a place for pressure, extortion and sometimes bargaining, which many human rights organizations have warned of and have called on the international community to intervene to stop it.
To that, the Prisoners´ Information Office stated that the occupation authorities released today, Tuesday, the prisoner Salman Nasser Abu Muhareb, residents of the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, after an arrest that lasted seven and a half years in the prisons of the occupation.
