Settlers attack the olive pickers south of Bethlehem

A group of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked on Saturday the olive harvesters and foreign solidarity activists in the village of Jaba´a south of Bethlehem.

According to the council´s chairman, Dhiab Masha´leh, dozens of settlers attacked the olive pickers in the Wadi al-Khgar and al-Hila area near Beit Ayin settlement, threw stones at them and attacked houses and property, causing material damage.

He added that the Israeli occupation forces are holding a bus carrying foreign solidarity activists.

The village of Al-Jaba´a is subjected to repeated attacks by settlers, especially in the current olive season.
