A collective wedding ceremony was held in the city of Darband in the Republic of Dagestan in Russia, which included 30 brides and grooms, attended by more than 10,000 people, and entered the Guinness World Record.
What is interesting in this collective ceremony is that the 30 grooms represent 16 major national and ethnic groups living in Dagestan. The youngest newlyweds were 19 years old. The ceremony was attended by a married couple in the 60th year of the Diamond Jubilee.
The ceremony marked two new records - a multi-national and multi-confessional wedding, and the largest guest attendance - and was officially recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
