Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have sued a newspaper for publishing a private letter Megan wrote to her father, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex´s office said in a statement.
Prince Harry said his wife had been hurt "almost daily for the past nine months" by a particular press group that had fabricated "falsely after lying to her (Megan) just because she was not visible during maternity leave."
"That´s why we are taking legal action, a process that took several months."
The Duke referred to his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, who was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997 after being photographed after.
The statement did not mention the newspaper.
