Vodafone has become the first telecommunications company to launch a fifth-generation communications network in Germany and is promoting 25 antenna locations in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Dortmund and other German cities and communities.
Vodafone´s fifth-generation mobile broadband network is still very limited. At the national level, the company has about 25,000 mobile mobile terminals. By August, there are expected to be about 50 of the 5 generation plants.
Private customers can start using fifth-generation antennas on Wednesday, adding them to existing Vodafone contracts, the company said. This will cost them about 5 euros ($ 5.6) additional under normal contracts.
Users will therefore need new smartphones compatible with the fifth generation network. Vodafone offers phones manufactured by Huawei and Samsung.
