The US senator, Ted Cruz, is promoting a proposal that the United States of America recognize Israel´s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
According to the Hebrew channel pen, Cruz is an important message of support for Israel in the face of threats from Iran and Hezbollah.
"Israel took the Golan Heights more than 50 years ago during a defensive war, it is time for us to meet in reality and to support Israel in its sovereignty over those areas," he said.
