Palestinian medical sources confirmed on Friday that a boy and a young man were killed and wounded when Israeli soldiers fired at them in the Wadi al-Hommos area near the Mazmoria checkpoint east of Bethlehem, while they were trying to reach the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to medical sources at Al-Hussein hospital in Beit Jala, Abdullah Louay Ghaith, 16, was martyred after being shot on the right side of the chest, penetrated the heart and lungs and exited the other direction. A young man (21) was wounded by a bullet in the abdomen and was entered into the operating room, where he was placed in a stable situation.
Both were trying to enter the city of Jerusalem and reach the Al-Aqsa mosque on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan this year.
The Israeli occupation police on Sunday morning killed a young man near Bab al-Amud in the Old City of Jerusalem, claiming that two Israelis had been stabbed and one of them critically wounded.
