Trump: Qassem Soleimani planned to blow up a U.S. embassy

Us President Donald Trump said Thursday that the commander of the Quds Force of iran´s Revolutionary Guard, Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, "planned to blow up a U.S. embassy," adding that he was a "monster."


Speaking at the White House thursday, Trump said: "We are a monster. We were able to eliminate it," he said, according to Russia Today.


"This should have happened a long time ago," Trump said. We did so because they wanted to blow up one of our embassies."


Iran launched a ballistic missile strike on two military bases in Anbar in the west and Erbil in the north early Wednesday in response to the killing of General Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. raid in Baghdad on Friday.
