The US State Department said on Monday that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will head to the Middle East to reinforce the ceasefire in Gaza.
Blinken will visit Jerusalem, Ramallah, Cairo and Amman from May 24 to 27, to meet with leaders of Israel, Palestine, Egypt and Jordan, according to the ministry statement.
According to the statement, Blinken and regional leaders will discuss basic follow-up efforts to reinforce the ceasefire and reduce the risks of further escalation in the coming months.
