The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority announced the success of the national computer emergency response team in preventing around 100,000 cyber attacks on federal government websites during the month of June.
The Authority said, during a monthly report on the developments of cybersecurity in the Federal Government of the United Arab Emirates for the past month reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM) today, Sunday, that the attacks varied between 73% malware, 15% searches for security vulnerabilities, and 12 phishing attacks. Percent, and the team handled 407 cyber incidents.
The report reviewed the efforts made by the national team to respond to the computer emergency "aeCERT" in dealing with cyber attacks that were experienced by federal authorities in the country only.
