Egyptian efforts on Monday evening succeeded in a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip.
An informed source confirmed that a tremendous effort has been made over the past few hours to achieve calm and to stop the dangerous escalation in the Gaza Strip, culminating in the successful conclusion of an immediate ceasefire between the Palestinian factions and the Israeli occupation
Fawzi Barhoum, spokesman for the Hamas movement, said that the Egyptian efforts succeeded in stopping the ceasefire between the occupation and the Palestinian resistance factions.
On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation army launched a series of raids on positions in various parts of the besieged Gaza Strip, amid expectations of a military attack that could take several days.
In contrast, after hours of Israeli bombardment, Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip fired dozens of rockets at the settlements around the besieged strip.
