Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Malki, affirmed that the State of Palestine´s team for intervention and urgent response works around the clock, and provides all its expertise and capabilities in this difficult circumstance that those affected by the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey is going through. .
Al-Maliki said, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, today, Tuesday, that the State of Palestine´s emergency intervention and response team is located in the Handarat and Nairab camps in Aleppo Governorate, which were affected by the earthquake and the majority of its residents are Palestinian refugees.
He added that the team will distribute humanitarian and relief aid in the name of the Palestinian people to our people in these camps, in addition to providing medical and psychological support to children and meeting their health and nursing needs.
He confirmed that members of the team of doctors have been present with the Syrian doctors since the morning hours, and participate in medical examinations, surgeries, and provide the necessary treatment for patients.
Regarding the team that went to Turkey, Al-Maliki indicated that the team continues its work in two locations, the first is related to activities related to the mental health of those affected by the earthquake, and the construction of 250 shelter tents in another location , in addition to the continuation of the team in search and rescue operations alongside the local teams in coordination with the administration.
