The "Deal of the Century" created field tension in the Palestinian territories

The controversy that followed US President Donald Trump´s announcement of his plan for peace in the Middle East or what is called the "deal of the century" has been reflected by increasing field tension in the Palestinian territories.

And called on the national and Islamic forces in the West Bank to consider today, Friday, a day of field escalation in villages and towns that witness weekly activities throughout the province, and be dedicated to denouncing the American plan.

In the last hours, the occupation army announced the reinforcement of its forces in the West Bank, as a result of the escalation of confrontations with Palestinians, which resulted in the injury of 14 Israeli soldiers in three separate operations.

A spokesman for the Israeli army, Avichai Adraei, said in a statement: The army "will continue to work to maintain security in the area and thwart attacks on Israeli citizens."

This comes as Israeli public radio quoted Palestinian officials as saying that the security coordination between the Authority and Israel has been reduced to a minimum, but that it has not completely stopped.

The Palestinians cautioned against "exploiting" Israel to announce the US peace plan, known to the media as the "Deal of the Century", to escalate its "aggression" against them in light of the high frequency of confrontations in the West Bank.

In the past two days, three citizens were killed by the Israeli army, while dozens were injured in a series of clashes a week ago in separate areas of the West Bank.

In a statement published by the official Palestinian News Agency (WFA), the Palestinian Presidency condemned what it described as a dangerous Israeli escalation, considering it a result of the "Deal of the Century".

Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said, "The deal of the century has created this atmosphere of escalation and tension with the attempted imposition of false facts on the ground, which we have previously warned against."

Abu Rudeina reiterated that "any deal that does not meet the rights of our people and does not aim to make a just and comprehensive peace will inevitably lead to this escalation that we are witnessing today."

And he warned against "this systematic Israeli escalation," stressing that the Palestinian people and their leadership "will stand a strong block against all these conspiracies, and they will overthrow them as well as all previous conspiracies, whatever the sacrifices."

Abu Rudeina stated that "the message that the world must understand according to the unanimous vision is what President Mahmoud Abbas will emphasize in his important speech before the UN Security Council, a peace based on Security Council resolutions, international law and the Arab Peace Initiative."

For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants accused Israel of retaliation against the Palestinians for rejecting the American peace plan, "the deal of the century", after the killing of three Palestinians in the last 24 hours.

And the ministry warned in a press statement of "the consequences of Israel exploiting the announcement of the deal of the century and its total American bias in escalating its bloody and sabotage aggression against the Palestinian people."

She said that Israel "made a decision to escalate its aggression against the Palestinian people and their leadership to punish them, for rejecting the deal of the century" announced by US President Donald Trump last week.

She added that the Israeli army "intentionally stepped up recently from its storming of Palestinian areas in general, and the centers of cities under the control of the Palestinian Authority in a violent and provocative way to terrorize citizens in a way that turned them into real arenas of confrontation and escalation."

The Foreign Ministry held the Israeli government "fully and directly responsible for this escalation, and the devastation, killing and repression it inflicts on our people, land and property."

It called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the International Security Council to "deal very seriously with these warnings, and take the necessary practical steps to curb the Israeli aggression and stop it immediately, and quickly provide international protection for our people from the oppression of the occupation and its settlers."

Over the past two days, there have been shootings and run over against Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and Jerusalem, wounding several of them.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a field tour in the settlement (Gush Etzion) south of Bethlehem, addressing his words to President Abbas, "Abu Mazen, stabbings, run over, sniping and incitement will not help you."

"We will do everything necessary to defend our security, define our borders, and guarantee our future, and we will do this with or without you," Netanyahu added, according to his page on Facebook.

Mahmoud al-Aloul, deputy head of the National Liberation Movement (Fatah), criticized Netanyahu´s "incitement" against President Abbas.

Al-Aloul told reporters in response to Netanyahu, "Netanyahu´s brazen incitement against President Abbas is part of his election campaign, his ambitions and his continued occupation of the Palestinian land."

Al-Aloul stressed that President Abbas "defends the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the borders of 67, and this will not stop at all."

For its part, Hamas considered that "the burning revolution in the West Bank and Jerusalem is a practical response to the announcement of the deal of the century aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue."

"A force on the ground cannot stand in the face of the revolution of the fighting Palestinian people and their firm will, and its decision to seize freedom is irreversible," said Hazem Qassem, a spokesman for the movement.

In the same context, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, called on Palestinian resistance fighters to take up arms, attack barriers and direct engagement with Israelis in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
