The Palestinian government, led by Mohammed Ishtiyeh, on Saturday called on the United Nations to intervene immediately and urgently to stop the Israeli aggression on the population of the Gaza Strip .
The government stressed in a statement that it is seriously considering the escalating Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the targeting of defenseless civilians, and hitting the infrastructure to keep the sector in a state of permanent confusion in order to obstruct the reconstruction efforts and to disrupt the launching of development projects to help our people in the Strip.
The Government deplored the continued aggression and called upon the United Nations to assume its responsibilities by immediately intervening to stop it and to provide protection to our people, who are subjected to various types of aggression by shelling in the Gaza Strip.
