This Sunday morning, the Israeli occupation once again threatened to bomb the Al-Quds Hospital affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City .
The Red Crescent wrote on its Facebook page: “We have now received strongly worded threats to immediately evacuate Al-Quds Hospital because it will be bombed.”
He added, "Since the morning hours, the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital has witnessed continuous raids that led to the destruction of some of the buildings surrounding it within a 50-meter radius."
The Red Crescent Society explained, in a statement, that it had received two phone calls in a sharp warning tone from the occupation authorities, warning the administration of Al-Quds Hospital to evacuate it immediately, otherwise the Society would bear full responsibility for the lives of the citizens there.
She pointed out that hundreds of wounded, injured, and patients are receiving treatment inside the hospital, in the intensive care room, and children in nurseries, and about 12,000 displaced civilians have taken refuge in it as a safe place, in addition to medical teams.
It called on the partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its components to intervene immediately and urgently to ensure the protection of civilians, the Society’s facilities, and its crews, in accordance with international humanitarian law.
It renewed its call on the entire international community, the United Nations institutions and all international organizations to intervene immediately and urgently to save Al-Quds Hospital and the rest of the hospitals in the Gaza Strip from targeting and bombing, and to prevent a humanitarian massacre.
