Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces suppressed a stand of solidarity with the people of Ein Al-Bayda, southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron.
The official news agency reported that dozens of citizens performed Friday prayers on the lands of Ain al-Bayda. Located between the settlements of "Maon and Karmiel", southeast of Yatta, in solidarity with the owners of the lands threatened to be seized by the occupation.
After performing the prayers, the participants raised the Palestinian flag, and chanted phrases calling for an end to the occupation and an end to the settlements.
He added that the occupation soldiers raided the area and attacked the participants to disperse them.
Dozens of citizens and owners of threatened lands, as well as a number of foreign solidarity activists and international peace activists participated in the event.
The Coordinator of the Popular Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlements in East Yatta and South Hebron, Ratib al-Jabour, called on the international community and human rights organizations to immediately and quickly intervene to stop the occupation’s policy of ethnic cleansing against the citizens in Masafer Yatta, in favor of expanding its settlements in that area.
Bulldozers belonging to the "Maon and Carmiel" settlements, which are located on citizens´ lands near the Umm al-Khair and al-Tawana area east of Yatta, were bulldozed, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, early last week, agricultural lands in the Ein al-Bayda area owned by the families of Buhais, al-Shawahin, al-Zuhur, and Da´is, with the aim of expanding settlements. And the establishment of sheep and cattle farms for settlers.
