The occupation suppresses a march in solidarity with the people of Ain al-Bayda, south of Hebron

The Israeli occupation forces suppressed, today, Friday, a stand of solidarity with the people of the Ein Al-Bayda area, which is threatened with its seizure, southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron.

Our correspondent reported that dozens of citizens and residents performed Friday prayers on the lands of Ain al-Baida, in solidarity with the owners of the lands threatened to be seized by the occupation for the benefit of the settlements of "Maon and Karmiel."

After the prayers, a solidarity march began, during which the participants raised the Palestinian flag and chanted phrases calling for an end to the occupation and an end to the policy of ethnic cleansing that he pursues against the traveler´s people, in favor of settlement expansion.

The event, which was called by the people of the region and Palestinian activists, was attended by a number of foreign solidarity activists and international peace activists, in addition to dozens of citizens and owners of lands threatened with seizure.

Our correspondent added that the soldiers assaulted the participants in the march by beating the butts of their rifles, and a group of settlers also attacked them.

The coordinator of the Popular Committees to Resist the Wall and Settlement in East Yatta and South Hebron, Ratib al-Jabour, told Wafa that this event is being organized on a weekly basis, due to the continued occupation and settlers who bulldoz citizens´ lands in that area, in favor of establishing cattle and sheep farms for the settlers of Ma´on and Karmiel. ".

Settlers´ vehicles were bulldozed, with the protection of the occupation army, over the past two weeks, agricultural lands in the Al-Ain Al-Baida region, owned by families: Buhais, Al-Shawahin, Al-Zuhoor, and Adais.
